Discover Kitesurfing Course

This course is designed for the complete beginner who fancies their first try at flying an inflatable kite. The course is taught from the pristine shoreline of FKB resort and covers the following:

• Theory of Kitesurfing (on land)
• Equipment set-up (on land)
• First kite-flying experience
• Launching and landing a kite
• Self-rescue and water pack-down technique

What to expect

• Meet and greet the instructor.
• Visit the FKB Kitesurf school to be fitted with all the necessary safety gear, including harness, booties, helmet and impact vest.
• A short explanation of wind theory and safety.
• Learn how to set up a kite before heading to the water for your first kite-flying experience.

Kitesurf Progression Course

Discover the exciting sport of Kitesurfing! Designed for beginners, the course helps you climb up the progression ladder and teaches you everything you need to know to get yourself flying from land to sea. The course is taught from the pristine shoreline of FKB resort and covers the following:

• Theory of Kitesurfing (on land)
• Equipment set-up (on land)
• First kite-flying experience
• Launching and landing a kite
• Flying the kite through the power zone
• Downwind, upwind and cross-wind body dragging
• Upwind body drag to retrieve a board
• Self-rescue and water pack-down technique

What to expect

• Meet and greet the instructor.
• Visit the FKB Kitesurf school to be fitted with all the necessary safety gear, including harness, booties, helmet and impact vest.
• Learn how to set up a 4-line kite before getting ready to enter the water for your first kite-flying experience.
• Feel the power of the kite whilst body dragging through the ocean.
• All L2 Kitesurf progression courses are taught using radio helmets with a rescue craft present at all times.

Zero to Hero Course

It takes a lot of heart and dedication to be a kitesurfing hero, but you’ll get there! Designed for the serious learner who wants to push their capabilities, this course is spread over two days with private lessons taught from the pristine shoreline of FKB resort and covers the following:

• Theory of Kitesurfing (on land)
• Equipment set-up (on land)
• First kite-flying experience
• Launching and landing a kite
• Flying the kite through the power zone
• Downwind, upwind and cross-wind body-dragging
• Upwind body-drag to retrieve a board
• First water start
• Controlled stop
• Riding in both directions
• Self-rescue and water pack-down technique 

What to expect

• Meet and greet the instructor.
• Visit the FKB Kitesurf school to be fitted with all necessary safety gear, including harness, booties, helmet and impact vest.
• Learn how to set up a 4-line kite and be ready to enter the water for your first kite-flying experience.
• Feel the power of the kite whilst your body drags above the ocean.
• First attempts at water starts with expert tuition to get you riding in both directions.
• All L3 Kitesurf progression courses are taught using radio helmets and video coaching with a rescue craft available at all times.
