Whale Sharks of Qatar Terms and Conditions

 

1. General Terms & Conditions

For Day Excursion tour:

  • The rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • The rate quoted is inclusive of all taxes and fees known at the time of producing this package. Discover Qatar reserves the right to adjust without prior notice, the quoted rates accordingly to reflect any increase or changes in the amount of government or municipality fees and/or taxes as applicable.
  • This product is subject to availability at the time of booking confirmation.
  • The final pricing is subject to availability and seasonality. Discover Qatar reserve the right to change the rates of any of the hotels, excursions and other services.
  • Availability of this product may be impacted by Blackout dates, stop sale during major events, festivals and conferences. Please check at the time of booking.
  • In the event of cancellation, please contact the “Discover Qatar” team on whalesharks@qatarairways.com.qa within a minimum of 48 hours to avoid cancellation charges. 100% Cancellation charges apply where a full 48 hours’ notice has not been received prior to arrival.
  • Should you be unable to travel due to COVID-19 within 48 hours of your check-in date, a medical certificate along with the test results are required to be submitted to whalesharks@qatarairways.com.qa to seek an exception for the waiver of cancellation charges and process a refund accordingly.
  • Infants under 2 years of age travel free of charge.

For Private Charter:

  • The rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • The rate quoted is inclusive of all taxes and fees known at the time of producing this product. Discover Qatar reserves the right to adjust without prior notice, the quoted rates accordingly to reflect any increase or changes in the amount of government or municipality fees and/or taxes as applicable.
  • This product is subject to availability at the time of booking confirmation.
  • In the event of cancellation, please contact the “Discover Qatar” team on whalesharks@qatarairways.com.qa within a minimum of 5 working days to avoid cancellation charges. 100% Cancellation charges apply where a full 5 working days’ notice has not been received prior to arrival. Specific and more restrictive cancellation charges will apply during peak periods e.g. public holidays, exhibitions, conferences, special events, Eid Holidays.
  • Should you be unable to travel due to COVID-19 within 48 hours of your check-in date, a medical certificate along with the test results are required to be submitted to whalesharks@qatarairways.com.qa to seek an exception for the waiver of cancellation charges and process a refund accordingly.
     

2. Inclusions

For Day Excursion tour:

  • Whale shark viewing aboard a luxury catamaran
  • An Expert Guide to inform you about the Whale Sharks of Qatar
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided through the day, with catering provided by a 5-star hotel
  • Coffee, tea, cold soft drinks and water
  • A professional photographer will be onboard throughout the day

For Private Charter:

  • Return Transfers from Doha to the Meteor Yacht in the north of Qatar
  • Whale shark viewing aboard your privately chartered yacht
  • An Expert Guide to inform you about the Whale Sharks of Qatar
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided through the day, with catering provided by a 5-star hotel
  • Beverages Coffee, tea, cold soft drinks and water
  • A professional photographer will be onboard throughout the day
  • 2 kayaks are available for guests to use
     

3. Exclusions

For Day Excursion tour:

  • Any ground services before and/or after the cruise other than the ones mentioned in the specific package
  • Meals and beverages other than the ones specifically stated under the Inclusions Clause above
  • Cancellation/luggage/assistance/repatriation/medical insurance(s)

For Private Charter:

  • Travel Insurance
  • Anything else that is not expressly mentioned above in Inclusions

4. Cancellation Policy

For Day Excursion tour:

  • If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel your booking once a booking has been confirmed and an invoice or receipt has been issued, the Lead Name must notify their Agent (or Discover Qatar if the booking was made directly with Discover Qatar) in writing. The cancellation charges you will be required to pay, will be calculated on the basis of the date we received the written notification and the booked departure date.
  • 48 hours prior to service - No cancellation charges.
  • 100% Cancellation charges apply where a full 48 hours’ notice has not been received prior to arrival.

For Private Charter:

  • If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel your booking once a booking has been confirmed and an invoice or receipt has been issued, the Lead Name must notify their Agent (or Discover Qatar if the booking was made directly with Discover Qatar) in writing.   • 6 Working Days and more: Hotel + Tours & Transfers Cancellation Policy, NO Cancellation penalties.
  • 5 Working days and less, No Show: Non-refundable, 100% Cancellation charges applicable
  • Should the charter be cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions, an alternative date or a full refund will be provided

5. Disruption to Itinerary Arrangements

  • Itineraries are intended as a guide only and are subject to alteration without notice. Alterations may be necessary for reasons beyond Discover Qatar’s control. Changes could include, but are not limited to: If conditions render any routes unsafe for navigation, Discover Qatar reserves the right to provide alternative services including, but not limited to, accommodation on the docked ship.
  • Discover Qatar will not be liable for any direct or indirect costs that Passenger’s may incur as a result of any event or other factor beyond Discover Qatar’s control which necessitates a change in itinerary.
  • Passengers are not entitled to any refund or compensation for any alterations to the itinerary that are caused by events beyond Discover Qatar’s control.

6. Limitations of Liability

  • Discover Qatar packages include the services of independent providers, such as cruise companies, catering and other operators, who are not agents, servants or employees of Discover Qatar. Although we take care in selecting the independent service providers and the optional excursions conducted by some independent service providers, Discover Qatar is not responsible for the conduct of such independent service providers, their servants or agents, or for any ramifications of that conduct.
  • The Passenger accepts and assumes the risk involved with all activities provided.
  • Optional excursions may, depending on the holiday package, include activities such as desert safaris, climbing, exploring, snorkeling and swimming The Passenger accepts and assumes the risk involved with these activities.
  • If, in the opinion of any representative of Discover Qatar, a Passenger’s mental or physical condition, or general behavior is such as to affect a Passengers own health and safety, render a Passenger incapable of caring for themselves, cause a Passenger to became a hazard to themselves or other passengers or result in a Passenger becoming objectionable to other passengers or staff, such Passenger will not be permitted to embark or continue on the whole or any part of the holiday package. Abuse or harassment of any kind toward crew, contracted suppliers or other guests may result in immediate removal from the tour or cruise. Discover Qatar is not liable to Passengers for any costs associated with such decision and the Passenger will not be refunded for any part of the holiday package.
  • Discover Qatar accepts no responsibility for any death, injury, illness, loss (including loss of enjoyment), damage, detention, delay (including mechanical breakdown) beyond its control.

7. Travel insurance

  • The sale of Services by Discover Qatar does not include any kind of insurance.
  • Passengers are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes (without limitation) coverage for the cost of your holiday package, medical expenses, loss of luggage, cruise and land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, impossibility of performance or other frustration, disruption, loss of deposit or strikes.
  • Passengers are required to check the terms and conditions of the policy to determine the extent of coverage for COVID-19 related claims.
  • Passengers are solely responsible for taking out such insurance at their own expense. If a Passenger has not taken out such insurance, they accept responsibility and any costs linked to medical expenses, evacuation for health reasons, or repatriation.
