Private Tour

Discover the remarkable desert landscape where sand dunes spill into the azure waters of the Inland Sea. Our qualified desert drivers will take you on an adventure, travelling through the dramatic sand dunes to Khor Al Adaid, a large tidal embayment recognized for its outstanding natural heritage value.

After being collected from airport we drive approximately 1 hour to the entrance of the desert at Sealine. Here we have a brief stop to deflate our tyres.

From here, the adventure starts with our off-road desert drive through the dramatic sand dunes. Your experienced driver will navigate the dunes until we reach Khor Al Adaid, or the inland sea. You will have an opportunity to take in the magnificent desert landscape, visit the towering Sheraton Dune and marvel at the azure waters of the Arabian Sea before we depart for a brief comfort stop at our desert camp on the way back to Doha.

Visa Information: Please note, this tour requires you to pass through immigration control to enter the state of Qatar. Nationalities from 100+ countries can enter Qatar visa-free. To check visa requirements, please see the Visit Qatar website. If you do not qualify for visa-free entry, you can apply for a Transit Visa for QAR 100 at the Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk in the Duty Free area of Hamad International Airport. Note: All visas are approved and issued at the sole discretion of Qatar's Ministry of Interior. Should your entry/visa be declined by the authorities despite meeting all the visa requirements, Discover Qatar will issue a full refund for the tour.

What to Expect

Pick-up and drop-off from Hamad International Airport
Taking approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, travel by 4x4 air-conditioned vehicle to the entrance to the desert at Sealine
Brief stop at Sealine to prepare the 4x4 vehicle for the desert drive
Off road desert drive through the dramatic sand dunes with our experienced and qualified drivers to the destination of Khor Al Adaid
Brief comfort stop at the desert camp
Return journey from the desert camp back to Sealine and onward to Hamad International Airport

This is a private tour with pick-up from and drop-off at Hamad International Airport. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, clothes, and carry a hat and sunblock.

Note: Due to the adventurous nature and type of terrain covered in our off-road tours and excursions, pregnant women, children (aged 6 years of age and under requiring either a baby or toddler car seat), persons with cardiac problems, back pain, back injuries, neck pain and/or neck injuries, are not permitted to participate in the tours and excursion.

Tour Departure from Hamad International Airport: passengers can select from the scheduled departure, please allow at least 2 hours from your flight arrival time to the tour start time.
Return to Hamad International Airport: transit tours will be dropped back to Hamad International Airport at the published tour completion time.
Minimum Transit Time: 8 hours (between arrival and departure flight schedule).

Important Note:
- Customers who have booked in advance should approach Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk (located in Duty Free Plaza South, behind the escalators between concourse A & B) no later than 90 minutes prior to scheduled tour departure for service validation.
- If customers have already cleared immigration and did not check in at the Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk located in Duty Free Plaza South, they are required to proceed directly to the Discover Qatar desk (located in the Arrivals Hall - past Immigration).
- Late arrivals to Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk shall be considered as no-show.
- For bookings within 2 days, if the customer is unable to book online, they can come and see us at the Discover Qatar Transit desk to book their transit tour, subject to availability. Click here to view the location of the Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk.

Duty Free: Please do not purchase alcoholic beverages before your transit tour. Bringing alcoholic beverages into Qatar is strictly prohibited, and we will not be able to store them for you.

Accessibility:
Not recommended for wheelchair bound customers. This tour is suitable for guests with some mobility issues, who can climb independently in & out of the vehicle. If you have any specific questions please contact us for more information.
