Spending Avios

How do I redeem Avios on my Discover Qatar Booking?

Payment using Avios can only be done by Qatar Airways Privilege Club members on their Discover Qatar Booking when selecting ‘Pay with Avios’.
The members can also choose to ‘Pay with Avios’ on Discover Qatar Bookings for nominated family members or any individuals of their choice. 

How much Avios do I need to be able to spend Avios on my Discover Qatar Booking?

Avios required for the Discover Qatar Booking varies according to the value of the service(s) or product(s) selected. The members must have the required minimum balance of 2,000 Avios in their Privilege Club account in order to use Avios for their payment of the Discover Qatar Booking. 

Can I get a refund of my Avios if I cancel my booking?

Cancellation of your Discover Qatar Booking is subject to the Discover Qatar’s refund policy.

In the event that the booking can be cancelled, your Avios would be refunded back to the member’s Privilege Club account.    

Can I combine my British Airways and Qatar Airways Avios to pay for the Discover Qatar Booking?

Pay with Avios on Discover Qatar Booking is available only for Qatar Airways Privilege Club members.
You can link your British Airways and Qatar Airways accounts and transfer Avios to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account in order to use ‘Pay with Avios’ for Discover Qatar Booking.

Can I make payment with Avios if I am modifying the booking?

If the initial payment for the Discover Qatar Booking is settled partially with Avios and cash or card, then any additional fees or taxes differences that arise as a consequence of any booking changes will be adjusted from the cash or card component (Avios element shall not be adjusted). If the additional fees or taxes exceed the value of the cash or card portion, or if the purchased booking(s) is settled using Avios alone, the members must settle the additional fees separately using cash or card as Discover Qatar may request. After such settlement, Avios component (if any) will be refunded.

Can I combine my Avios with another Privilege Club account to pay for the same Discover Qatar Booking (i.e. same transaction)?

No, Privilege Club members cannot combine Avios with another member to redeem in the same transaction. The members, however, have an option to transfer Avios from one Privilege Club account to another in order to make a payment for the Discover Qatar Booking. How do I collect Avios on my Discover Qatar Booking?

When booking your products or services through Discover Qatar website (the “Discover Qatar Booking”), provide your Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number to collect Avios:

Avios will be credited between 2 to 3 weeks after the Discover Qatar Booking has been fully utilised. The statement can be checked online through the Privilege Club dashboard

How many Avios do I get on my Discover Qatar booking?

Earn 1 Avios for every 2 QAR spent.   

I have purchased a tour for 4 people, will I earn Avios per passenger or per overall booking?

Avios is earned for the whole booking and credited only to the first passenger entered in the booking along with their Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number.

Can I insert my Privilege Club membership number and earn Avios when I’m booking a Discover Qatar service for nominated family members or individuals?

No, you have to be a part of the Discover Qatar product or service party in order to earn Avios on the Discover Qatar Booking. Avios will be credited to your Privilege Club account after the Discover Qatar Booking has been fully utilised.

How can I claim missing Avios from my Discover Qatar Booking?

Please contact us here in order to claim your missing Avios. Please supply your Discover Qatar Booking reference and full name upon submitting your request.

How can I ensure that my Avios are credited to my Privilege Club account?

To make sure your Avios are correctly credited to your Privilege Club account, please ensure the following:

The last name and first name given when making your Discover Qatar Booking must match the name that is in your Privilege Club membership profile. Please ensure that you provide an accurate Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership number at the time of making Discover Qatar Booking.
